According to CanonRumors the announcement was briefly on-line at Canon UK website.
We got not one but many confirmations that the release was imminent, and it was intentionally delayed, as we already posted many times before, so this date could be the “final” and “official”.
Let’s hope Canon give us the FULL featured firmware release for the 5D Mark II, which includes Standard 23.976 / 25 / 29.97 fps, 720p modes and some other additional improvements (like AGC fix, etc.).

DEAR CANON INC.,
We are still waiting, we do know what you have.
Please take professional care of your professional customers and give them all the features that you include even in an entry-level DSLR.
They are possible, they share almost the same hardware.
The 5D Mark II has huge potential inside and was adopted by thousands of amateurs, professionals and companies around the world thanks to its great video capabilities.
By updating it properly you will keep it “fresh” and more competitive. Not to mention customers’ loyalty who see they are listened after their big investments.
All of that will reflect in more sales, not only on the camera but also on full frame lenses.
That is a great business opportunity for an already designed and in-production model.
