Canon has released firmware update for the EOS T3i/600D which fixes few issues:
We have released firmware version 1.0.1 that includes the following fixes and changes:
- Clarifies the feature guide description of the digital zoom function for movie-shooting that appears on the camera’s LCD monitor.
- Fixes the phenomenon in which, in rare cases, a computer connected to the camera with a USB cable cannot recognize the camera.
Firmware version 1.0.1 is for cameras with firmware up to version 1.0.0. If the camera’s firmware is already version 1.0.1, it is not necessary to update the firmware.
Preparations for the firmware update:
In the folder for the firmware you downloaded are the firmware (file name: CCF11101.FIR, file size: 12,232,076 bytes) and instructions for the firmware update procedures (a PDF file in five languages: Japanese, English, French, Spanish, and Simplified Chinese). Before starting the firmware update procedures, please be sure to carefully confirm your understanding of these instructions.
